Year End Report!

It's been a blast! 10 figures spanning 6 of the more prominent years of GI Joe. With Snake Eyes expected to ship from Sideshow sometime in January and on top of that Snowjob is well on his way to being completed. You can check out the Sector for more info on him. I'm going through possibilities for the next Reinforcements Poll which will take place some time in the next month, so by all means if you've got ideas throw 'em out there! Feel free to hit me up on here or at the Sector! Also the coming year I plan to expand into the '88 run and hopefully begin with Cobras.
Speaking of Cobras, next year is due to bring some excitement on the world terrorist organization front with SSCs Cobra Commander and joining him their Cobra Trooper! Some people ha concerns that "Bradstreet" Cobra Commander was too modernized but the Trooper looks as classic as can be. Might need to pick up a Dragnov SVD rifle for that one, but other than that the figure looks pretty badass!

Although by no means an actual to-do list, just based off what I've got random parts for, some of '09s prospective Joes are:
-Roadblock
-Airborne
-Quick Kick
-Duke
-Clutch
-Falcon

That's gonna wrap up '08! Thanks for watching and tune in next time! Happy New Year's!!!

Machine Gunner CODENAME: Rock N Roll

Rock N Roll, the figure you voted for!

Back in September I ran a multi-site poll spanning both the Sector3601 and Hiss Tank forums and on here of course. The poll was a success, and it wasn't even close when Rock beat out the others by over half. It worked out so well in fact that I'm sorely tempted to do it again, just gotta figure out some more reinforcements! Now nearly three months later Rock N Roll's been fully realized in 1/6 format.

As one one of the original 13 (14 I guess if you count Shooter) Rock N Roll stands out to a lot of fans and collectors alike as a classic. The bandoleers slung around his chest and bright yellow beard, in my opinion a throw back to the Adventure Team days, make him as instantly recognizable as Snake Eyes or Stalker.

The head was the first piece acquired and is from a much earlier Hot Toys figure. The hair was repainted a sun-bleached blond to reflect his surfer days in Malibu. I like to think of him bearing a Zeppelin or AC/DC tattoo but decided to leave them off. In truth he was done a month or so ago, but I opted to change out the body for a similar one to Outback's. Feels much more fitting with him being a little more built than your average Joe. He's not the colossus that Roadblock is but for a guy lugging around machine guns for a living he's got to have a good upper body.
As far as weapons go, Rock's not carrying anything on the cutting edge, but as long as it still mows down Cobra blueshirts like there's no tomorrow I see nothing wrong with that! Anyway, here he's got his original MG-42, although I'm told the original's rifle was a cross between and M-60 and an MG-42. The bandoleers are from Hot Toys Rambo figure and finish off the signature appearance of the original Joe.
10 team members down, with Snowjob the leading man on the workbench and SSCs Snake Eyes due out next month. Cobra's gonna need some serious reinforcements!
